Member ShaOW!linDude Posted November 23, 2011 Author Member Share Posted November 23, 2011 Interesting. Due to how much I enjoyed the films, I picked up the Ludlum's 1st Bourne book at a used bookstore. It was good but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would so I've not bothered reading the others. Maybe I should've read them in the 80's, too. I'm a big fan of Eric Van Lustbader but thought it strange that he took over this character. I considered trying one of his Bourne books but if he's jacked up the character like you say......Pass! Member popsjnr Posted November 23, 2011 Member Share Posted November 23, 2011 Yeah i was a fan of Van Lustbader's books growing up-The Ninja and The Miko etc-and I know he was a good friend of Ludlum's. I read Bourne Legacy and got pissed off at it within the first three pages, for killing off those characters, but I did finish it. Tried the 2nd and when Van Lustbader kills of Marie, Bourne's wife, again with no real impact on Bourne's character I threw it in the bin!! The only plus point is the new movie has to be better than the novel!!

Member SamSeed Posted August 26, 2013 Member Share Posted August 26, 2013 http://twitchfilm.com/2013/08/breaking-matt-damon-in-negotiations-to-return-as-jason-bourne.html Apparently Matt Damon is in negotiations to return as Jason Bourne. This would be great, except he will not come back unless Paul Greengrass does as well, which means yet another shakey-cam fest.

Guest Markgway
Renner was no better or worse than Damon. I, for one, was happy to see the back of Greengrass.
