You mean what is the music? Well, it's basically the only soundtrack in which Wang Fu Ling is properly credited as composer. In the English dub, Peter Thomas was the composer, while the Cantonese version used stock music by Joseph Koo (composed for the Japanese theatrical cut) and Pink Floyd tracks.

But yes, Wang Fu Ling, even if he didn't compose the music especially for the Mandarin cut of TBB, did compose the music in general which snuck up in some other films as well including some Shaw Bros films.

In short, it's hard to tell if all of the music was made especially for the film, or only if parts of it were. Either way, if you're trying to find "borrowed" music, I think it's simply library music composed by Wang Fu Ling that was shared between Golden Harvest and Shaw Brothers.

Often composers were credited for sourcing music as much as composing it.

This is true... just like Frankie Chan was credited for using Holst's "The Planets" in Jackie Chan's "The Young Master"

Whilst I give Fox/Fortune Star credit for being the only DVD with the Mandarin mono track, the damn thing goes hopelessly out of sync during one of the fights. Why are these great films in the hands of fools?

Yeah like the score by Joseph Koo for Fist of Fury (1972) was also used in Dang kou tan aka The Bloody Fists (1972) - at least in the german dub called "Zakota - Faust des Todes"..
