I should have a copy of this tomorrow.

As a /beat ‘em up fan, I fall for these films EVERY time!

Often, I find myself enjoying them, in spite of myself – DOA was a laugh, SF: Legend of Chun Li was almost entertaining in a “Has anyone involved in this ever even seen a SF game?” and the original SF film with Van Damme is glorious, camp fun.

What with the amount of delyas this film’s release has had, I’m not surprised to hear it’s not a good film.

Oh well, hopefully, King of Fighters will be good.

Ah shit, done it again!!

Damn straight. If these flicks are gonna be this bad, why can't they make them like the Van Damme version? At least there's no shortage of laughs there!

And we are all suckers...we keep coming back for more...so they keep making them. won't have any new hope until MK devastation shows some signs of life (not King Of The Fighters though!).

Saw it last night and yeah, it's not good!

The problems with it range from the muddy story, the bad acting, the poor camerawork (no shocks there!) to the piss poor editing of the fights.

The fights disappoint the most, of course. At times there are flashes of goodness in there, and are shown seemingly by accident.

A shame - I was genuinely hoping this might've been worthwhile.

I got to see it this morning and I'd say it was a mixed bag overall. Some fights were shot well, some shot bad. Jon Foo truly was a plus in the role of Jin Kazama. I definitely would love to see him lead more MA flicks in the future. Gary Daniels I thought was menacing as Bryan Fury, even though he had limited fight time. The story seemed somewhat typical of this brand of action film so it was nothing new.

I agree with IgaNinja...way better than DOA: Dead or Alive and Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li. I would say it was a bloodier campy film in the vein of Van Damme's Street Fighter.

Final Rank: C+
