Guest jirpy100
Just got back from the Casino where I watched it. It's certainly not as hard as the old action films, and deliberately doesn't take itself too seriously. But it still works, the one-liners aren't that original, but the pacing was fine, although it'll probably suck on a second viewing. It's unfortunately the PG-13 element which is unavoidable, there are no squibs and little violence. Even Silent Bob is in this film! Afterwards I drank at the Casino and won money, so I'm slightly happy right now....
Guest Markgway
It was better than I had hoped. I felt highly entertained for the 2+ hrs.

Guest Soda drink
A lot better than I thought it would be. I would dare say it's in the original's league....
Member bamboo spear Posted July 17, 2007 Member Share Posted July 17, 2007 Being a huge fan of Die Hards 1 and 2, I was initially going to shun the theatrical release of DH4 and wait for the DVD. But, I decided to check it out, and it was very cool. Cyril Raffaelli and Maggie Q were great sub-bosses, the fighter sequence was fantastic, and I didn't even mind Silent Bob. Guest Daisho2004
OK I got to watch this movie last night finally, and come on give me a break this movie was sooooo far over the top ridiculous it wasn't even funny, my Man would've been Killed in the 1st 10minutes of the movie, now don't get me wrong I enjoyed it for the storyline but not for how far fetched it really was. To me the 1st. one was and is still the best. I thought I was watching a "Die Hard" movie not a "Superman" Movie.
Member Cognoscente Posted May 2, 2021 Member Share Posted May 2, 2021 I would probably have liked it more if it was a stand-alone movie, perhaps with a title like One Man Army (which is also the title of a Jerry Trimble movie). It's sad that there's not much difference from Maggie Q being in this to what's she done in the last decade. You would think that she have been like Michelle Yeoh by now.
