Moderator Karlos Posted July 16, 2010 Moderator Share Posted July 16, 2010 Hi all Has anyone seen this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESPY_%28film%29 I've noticed a DVD-R, subtitled, on Fareastflix.com - but was wondering, is it worth purchasing? Member Stuntman Jules Posted August 4, 2010 Member Share Posted August 4, 2010 I've seen it unsubbed, would like to track down the dubbed version and also see it subtitled as a lot was lost on me sadly. It's alright, Jun Fukuda who made most of the second tear Godzilla films of the 60s and 70s directed and his work is fun when he was working with better production values. ESPY is alright, basically a lurid James Bond type flick as the trailer nicely displays, the best scene is a scene where actress Kaoru Yumi (who also appeared in the stunning disaster freakshow Prophecies of Nostradamus that same year) does a strip tease to a drooling black guy (Chico Roland, the black guy in every Japanese film that needed a black man who also played Sonny's forceful castration victim in The Street Fighter) who then gets his tongue psychically ripped out. The film is based on a book by Sakyo Komatsu who also wrote Submersion of Japan and Virus which star Masao Kusakari also appeared in,
