Member Gaijin84 Posted July 28, 2011 Author Member Share Posted July 28, 2011 It's all so depressing. Release after release of the same (mostly) marginal public domain titles, endlessly repackaged with the same crappy transfers. It really is ridiculous, can't believe it's worth it to keep producing them and they can keep making money.

Member Gaijin84 Posted August 8, 2011 Author Member Share Posted August 8, 2011 Shaolin Expendables- Fullscreen dubs again with some very poor video quality. STAY AWAY, this is a horrible set. Shaolin: The Blood Mission- Yay, a Thomas Tang/Leon Lai/Godfrey Ho mix-n-match. Hwang Jang Lee is the only positive here. Shaolin Temple- No not the Shaw Bros. or Jet Li version. Some cheapo Taiwanese production. This has to be 1 of the worst/hilarious kung fu films I have ever attempted to watch. The dubbing is just ridiculous. Holy Robe of Shaolin- I had this on Xenon VHS as Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang 2. I'm guessing this is a mainland production directed by Tsui Siu Ming. Yu Rong Guong is the only actor I noticed here. Some decent choreography and Wushu on display but it's not a good movie. Blazing Temple- I think this is considered a sequel to the 18 Bronzemen series? It's a Joseph Kuo movie, not bad, but it looks like it's been cut to pieces like the other two 18 Bronzemen Videoasia releases. Member ZoSo Posted December 11, 2011 Member Share Posted December 11, 2011 This is what I need to pick up!!!! You really should, this is an awesome set. TNT Jackson & Firecracker are pretty much the same exact movie, with the difference being the hilariously bad "fighting" from Jeannie Bell (TNT Jackson) and the pretty good fighting from Jillian Kesner (Firecracker). Too Hot to Handle isn't that bad, but not a ton of fighting in it.

Member Secret Executioner Posted August 30, 2012 Member Share Posted August 30, 2012 Interesting and very useful, as already mentionned. Ninja Terminator (1985) [silver Fox and Ninja Terminator] - Fullscreen, dubbed The Rebellious Reign (1980) - Fullscreen, dubbed, good picture quality Blood Child (1982) [Five Fingers of Steel] - Fullscreen, dubbed The Master and the Kid (1978) [shaolin Master and the Kid] - Partial widescreen, dubbed, good picture quality Crazy Guy with the Super Kung Fu (1978) - Widescreen, dubbed, bad picture quality thanks to Morgoth I already have one of the movies (Ninja Terminator) on a separate DVD, is this still worth getting ? Also, I would like to know which boxset(s) is (or are) the most recommended to get the movies Ninja Thunderbolt and Ninja Connection/Ninja In The Killing Fields. These are 2 I would love to get (especially Ninja Connection actually), but they only come in boxsets apparently.

Member Secret Executioner Posted August 31, 2012 Member Share Posted August 31, 2012 Ninja Terminator is so good that owning two copies can only be a good thing Yeah, it's a GREAT film. I may get that set after all, the other 4 movies seem (from the reviews I read) quite good as well.
Member kungpowmaster Posted September 2, 2012 Member Share Posted September 2, 2012 Ninja Terminator is excellent. Richard Harrison is the supreme Ninja master. Ninja Dragon is another great one. All Hail the Golden Ninja Warrior!
Member Secret Executioner Posted September 2, 2012 Member Share Posted September 2, 2012 Ninja Terminator is excellent. Richard Harrison is the supreme Ninja master. Ninja Dragon is another great one. While I agree about NT, I must admit I was a bit disappointed with ND. It's good, but not on par with Ninja Terminator. Another one I like alot is The Ninja Squad, though Harrison is barely seen in action but Dave Wheeler as Yvan The Red is purely epic and makes it really enjoyable.
