Jimmy Wang Yu stated he was paid over 6000HK per month (Dragon Dynasty Interview One-Armed Swordsman) and he was well above the normal and even with that he wasn't going to be a millionaire (not counting the fact his family had quite a bit of money, but the studio system wasn't going to make him overly wealthy).
