Member shukocarl Posted June 10, 2010 Member Share Posted June 10, 2010 Sorry to bring this up again but how does one research a movie that is thought to be in the public domain or that no company (even the Studio that made it) holds any rights to it? Is there a register somewhere that holds records of films and the copyright holders for each country? Hong Kong/Taiwan movies have always ripped off copyright music without being prosecuted, is it because the rights owners couldn't be arsed in taking court action? Does that hold for old independent KF flicks? Thanks in advance
Member The Silver Fox Posted June 13, 2010 Member Share Posted June 13, 2010 I think the Library of Congress website may have some of the information you're looking for. You could also check the Hong Kong film archive site.
