Member SimonMW Posted September 10, 2010 Member Share Posted September 10, 2010 Ip Chun, Ip Man's son who appeared in THE LEGEND IS BORN: IP MAN said that he is not sanctioning any more films on his father. This does not include Wong Kar-Wai's version THE GRAND MASTER because they are still in production. But, it looks like the chances of an IP MAN 3 are practically *poof* LOL Albert, Ip Chun has absolutely no ability or right to say that. Ip Man has at least two other sons, as well as daughters. Don't they get a say? Well in fact they do, and it has caused some rifts. Ip Chun and The Legend Is Born director were both recently forced to publicly apologise to Yuen Kay San's grandson by serving tea to him for false representations about Yuen Kay San in the film (among other things). Member kngfu Posted September 10, 2010 Member Share Posted September 10, 2010 I must be a glutton for punishment, but I love the excesses of HK cinema. Bring on the rip offs and clones! Bruce Le could use a career boost:smile:
Member Space Posted September 10, 2010 Member Share Posted September 10, 2010 Donnie most likely doesn't want to get typecast into the Ip Man role or want audiences only thinking of the character when they see him. It almost already too late!
