Peter Dinklage (Yes...THAT Peter Dinklage) is the new Toxic Avenger! OMG is this going to be interesting...and on top of that, Lloyd Kaufman said that Macon Blair's script is BETTER than his original 1984 screenplay.

Room breakout star Jacob Tremblay has signed on to co-star in The Toxic Avenger and from what the new plot sounds like, he's playing Toxie's son?!

Shooting begins this month in Bulgaria. Taylour Paige has joined the cast as Toxie's love interest and it was announced this past weekend, the main villain will be played by...Kevin Bacon!

Two more villains have been cast in The Toxic Avenger. Sarah Niles will play a corrupt city official and Jonny Coyne will play a shadowy criminal figure with Kevin Bacon as the big boss.

Don't know who the other two are, but its going to be cool to see Kevin Bacon as the big bad.

Peter Dinklage recently told fans that the new Toxic Avenger reboot, in which he will play the titular character, is going to be over-the-top crazy. In other words, it will look to be like a Troma movie!

“It’s not a remake. I just like guerrilla filmmaking. Those movies, they just made them, no matter what.” Dinklage said. “They just did it because they love doing it. Some of them are not the best, but some are so much fun. When you make movies too clean, it can distance the audience. They want to feel the dirt under their fingernails. I think those Troma films definitely dipped the audience in toxic waste.”

The official plot was revealed and it's not a remake but a reboot in I'm guessing an alternate universe:

"Based on the 1984 cult classic of the same name. Set in a fantasy world following Winston, a stereotypical weakling who works as a janitor at Garb-X health club and is diagnosed with a terminal illness that can only be cured by an expensive treatment that his greedy, power hungry employer refuses to pay for. After deciding to take matters into his own hands and rob his company, Winston falls into a pit of toxic waste and is transformed into a deformed monster that sets out to do good and get back at all the people who have wronged him."

Macon Blair was interviewed by Bloody Disgusting, and he revealed something extremely shocking!

While Peter Dinklage plays Winston Gooze, he only lent his voice to the role of The Toxic Avenger. The suit actor behind the costume is actually a Portuguese-British female actress, mo-cap actor, and stunt performer named Luisa Guerreiro.

I have a feeling since Legendary is behind the film, I won't be surprised if Netflix gets the film if it doesn't get a theatrical release. Heard so many good things about it, especially about Peter Dinklage's performance as he gives a lot of heart and it is described as a "Troma film with a bigger budget". It scored a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes as of today.

That might be the only way to see the film. Last week, a report has indicated that one of the producers of the film had confirmed that the film has been deemed "not safe to market" for a theatrical release and "unreleasable". There is currently no distributor but if one picks it up, it most likely will be a straight to streaming or Digital release.
