In the opening scene the title says "Schlitzauge Sei Wachsam". I'm guesing they stole it from a German DVD? Shaolin Plot Joy Sales VCD looks good. Not perfect or anything, but I'm happy with it. Dynamo: One of Ho Chung Tao's personal favorites, with choreography from the "Yuen Clan" to boot. 2. The Last Strike: "Soul Brothers of Kung Fu"... from the director and stunt team of Dynamo! Need a version that is both uncut AND in widescreen. Right now it's more or less one or the other. 3. Fist of Fury Part II: Easily one of the best "bruceploitation" films due to actually being a coherent and "believably canon" sequel to a Bruce Lee film. Plus it's a Tarantino favorite, so you'd think some distributor would cash in on that 4. Bruce Lee: Star of (All) Stars: "Exit the Dragon, Enter the Tiger". There is no one complete uncut AND widescreen release of this film. It's either cut, full screen, dubbed only, etc. The UK release had a decent (albeit cropped) widescreen transfer, but was edited by the BBFC. This is what i find on ofdb: German release: Schlitzauge sei wachsam Label: EuroVideo (The Drunken Master Edition) Runtime: 81:28 Min Audio: German Aspect: 2,20:1 Non-Anamorphic UK release: Label: Vengeance Video (this is the one i have) Runtime: 84:03 Min Audio: English Aspect: 2,05:1 (Not sure if this is true, i think it was closer to 1.90:1) Non-Anamorphic Can you verify that's the runtime and aspect ratio for your print? I double checked with my VV dvd and it's 84:02 Min long. Maybe the german print is cut? As a footnote, when i want a movie remastered the following conditions should, whenever possible, always be fulfilled: - Remastered from highest possible quality cinema reels source (anamorphic) - Restored to best possible picture- and audio, reflecting the expected qualities of movie release year (no stupid cropping or re/"up"mixing original audio etc. and always as close to OAR as possible!) - First of all: Original language audio! (My ideal remastered dvd has Mandarin/Cantonese/English dubs all included, possibly even German dub.). I loathe 9/10 remade dubs such as those you often can hear on HKL's. - Selectable, retranslated subtitles (and as a bonus, original subtitle translation if one is present) - Uncut! - Progressive scan! - As high bitrate as the media allows (DVD-9 for dvd's f.i.) Some German dvd releases come damn close to this. Just look at some NEW releases...
