Return Of The One Armed Swordsman (this film blows away its predecesor.) Point The Finger Of Death (again a proper release for this star studded classic.) Member TibetanWhiteCrane Posted March 27, 2010 Member Share Posted March 27, 2010 The Chinese Boxer is not a one-armed flick, you mean One Armed Boxer! Which would also be my pick as the best!
Member Winfred Posted March 27, 2010 Member Share Posted March 27, 2010 How about Ivy Ling Po as the one-armed swordswoman in The Crimson Charm?

Member Fist Of Boss Posted March 28, 2010 Member Share Posted March 28, 2010 Return Of The One Armed Swordsman (this film blows away its predecesor.) I am with you on this one.Interesting villains and loads of action makes this winner over original.
Member The Running Man Posted March 28, 2010 Member Share Posted March 28, 2010 Return Of The One Armed Swordsman for me as well. One of Chang Cheh's best and probably one of his most under rated film. Way better than the first movie, which is over-rated in my opinion. Similar also to how I believe "Return to the 36 Chamber" is better than the first one however the first 36 Chamber is a solid movie.

Member vengeanceofhumanlanterns Posted March 28, 2010 Member Share Posted March 28, 2010 How about Ivy Ling Po as the one-armed swordswoman in The Crimson Charm? This film is awesome. My favorite Ivy Ling Po film by far. Tsung Hua and Ku Feng as the villian. I forgot about her being one armed in this one.
Member The Dragon Posted March 28, 2010 Member Share Posted March 28, 2010 ONE ARMED SWORDSMAN. The original. The best! Exactly. This conversation wouldn't be taking place without it. The success of the film (leading to numerous sequels and copycats), speaks volumes about where audiences hero support and interest gravitated. The first sequel Return of The One-Armed Swordsman, is a decent follow-up. Imo.
Member vengeanceofhumanlanterns Posted March 29, 2010 Member Share Posted March 29, 2010 Exactly. This conversation wouldn't be taking place without it. The success of the film (leading to numerous sequels and copycats), speaks volumes about where audiences hero support and interest gravitated. The first sequel Return of The One-Armed Swordsman, is a decent follow-up. Imo. True. But that fact dosen't mean it's better. The first movie's storyline with how he becomes one armed is ridiculous even in Shaw Brother land. The follow ups blow it away and not just for that reason. Just because its first dosen't mean it's best Though I must say, usually that is the case, especially in music.
Member Jack J Posted March 29, 2010 Member Share Posted March 29, 2010 I really like Bobby Suarez' THE ONE ARMED EXECUTIONER. - but it's just not a kung fu movie.
Member mpm74 Posted March 29, 2010 Member Share Posted March 29, 2010 If we're not talking kung fu movies, then I pick... One Armed A*al Whores Volume 6!!!! The first sequel Return of The One-Armed Swordsman, is a decent follow-up. That's my 2nd favorite. One of the greatest sequels ever.

Member MarsHarmony Posted April 2, 2010 Member Share Posted April 2, 2010 {The Crimson Charm} This film is awesome. My favorite Ivy Ling Po film by far. Tsung Hua and Ku Feng as the villian. I forgot about her being one armed in this one. That is a must get! Thanks for bringing it to attention. I love New One Armed Swordsman aka Triple Irons, I saw it at the drive in at least 4 of the 7 nights it played. And Jimmy Wang Yu will always be The One Armed Swordsman to me, and the Return of the One Armed Swordsman, both films are seminal to the genre, to Chang Cheh and to Shaw Brothers itself. Member SunChien Posted April 3, 2010 Member Share Posted April 3, 2010 I also liked Triple Irons, Ku Feng was boss in that one, I liked how manipulative he was, plus he was practically untouchable with his weapon.
